Short-term campaign to support Ukrainian humanitarian NGOs - Common Sense Communications

About project

The campaign to support Ukrainian humanitarian NGOs was held in 2022 as a short-term communication campaign, the objectives of which were to improve the recognition of these organizations among the European audience, to disseminate information about their important work and to increase the level of trust in Ukrainian NGOs. The purpose of the campaign was to support the collection of donations in favour of 5 Ukrainian organizations.

Our target audience was 4 European countries (Norway, Sweden, Finland and Estonia), which showed to be positive towards supporting Ukraine. These countries were selected based on the results of a quantitative study on the attitude of European countries to Ukraine.

What did we do

Within the framework of this short-term communication initiative, we cooperated with six Ukrainian NGOs — Vostok S.O.S., Helping to Leave, the community foundation of Kherson city “Protection”, Voices of Children, the charitable foundation “Zaporuka” — and sought to increase confidence in their work.

In cooperation with NGOs and three media partnersKyiv Independent , [NV.ua] and the European Truth – three articles were written that focused on the history of the work of organizations and explained the specifics of their work for an unfamiliar reader. The English-language versions of the articles were promoted on Facebook with a call to get acquainted with their stories.

The result of the campaign is more than 5,700 clicks on links to information pages and an additional 3,650 clicks on pages for donations.
